Malaysia is consistently ranks among the top resourcing destinations in the world. Many multinationals have relocated their call centres as well as human resource and administrative work here. The reasons for that is not just cost savings but also because having a well educated workforce that speaks English and other languages. However, an outsourcing deal with Australian government that has received much publicity, most of it negative and is nothing to be proud of, when declared illegal by Australia's High Court. The deal signed in July last year would have seen Australia sending asylum seekers arriving by sea to Malaysia for processing. In return, Malaysia would send certified refugees to Australia.
