taiwanTaiwan has recently unveiled its US$ 53 million plan to boost the labor market and help 20,000 people to find work as companies are starting to retrench workers in the face of slowing demand. According to the Labor Affairs Council, the new scheme will not only create new jobs, but also train unemployed people by equipping them with the necessary skills needed to find work. " We see alarming signs and that's why we are creating 20,000 job opportunities," Labour Minister Wang Ju-Hsuan was quoted as saying to local media.
